WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE?

Chiropractic is a philosophy, art, and science based on a powerful premise.  The brain and spinal cord communicate with every organ, tissue, and structure in the body through a series of nerves.  These nerves exit the spinal column through the freely movable vertebrae of the spine.

The vertebrae, however, have the potential to misalign creating a subluxation.  Subluxations may put pressure on the nerves and interfere with the messages that need to be transmitted to the target tissues throughout the body.

As tissue damage accumulates, this results in susceptibility to illness and localized pain. Doctors of chiropractic have advanced training of at least six years duration in the sciences and health care.  They are specially trained to identify the misalignments of the spine, called subluxations, and correct them through specific chiropractic adjustments.

This facilitates proper nervous system function.  As a result, the body is more capable of fighting infections and healing properly.
